Compare Top Eufy RoboVac Vacuuming & Mopping Robots: L70 Hybrid vs. G30 vs. G30 Edge vs. G30 Hybrid
![]() (Photo credits: Anker Innovations) We had published in the past a couple of articles comparing the Anker Innovations's Eufy RoboVac floor cleaning robots. Those older Eufy robots had been very popular and had received great reviews from Amazon customers who have bought and used them.
Anker has continued to improve their Eufy floor cleaning robots and they have more recently produced the following four robots that are better designed and that come with a richer set of features. These are RoboVac L70 Hybrid, RoboVac G30, RoboVac G30 Edge and RoboVac G30 Hybrid and currently represent the top Eufy floor cleaning robots. What makes these four robots special is that not only do they come with all the must-have features, such as good floor coverage, efficient filtering, scheduling and auto-recharge, as well as the special BoostIQ feature described below, but they are also much more affordable than some other well known floor cleaning robots brands. This article will describe and compare the features of these four floor cleaning robots, so you may choose the right one for your home's cleaning needs. This article will compare the Eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid, Eufy RoboVac G30, Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge and |

Comparing the Selected Eufy RoboVac Floor Cleaning Robots
The selected four Eufy RoboVac robots are shown below:
The following table describes the various features that come with these floor cleaning robots (please read the explanations to the table notes that follow for a better understanding of the features):
Table Notes 1 - 19 Explained:
Note 1:
All four robots compared here clean in Z-pattern using sensors to avoid obstacles and drops. The Z-Pattern movement is illustrated below:
However, there is an important difference between the iPath Laser navigation of RoboVac L70 and the Smart Dynamics navigation of the three RoboVac G30 robots:
Note 2:
All four Eufy RoboVac robots considered here use a 3-stage vacuuming system consisting of two brushes and strong suction power that effectively loosen, extract, and vacuum dirt to give a superior clean:
Note that these robots also use a triple filter system that handles very well hair, pet fur, lint, carpet fuzz and other various allergens.
The following pictures show the main vacuuming elements on the bottom view of the four robots considered:
- With iPath Laser navigation RoboVac L70 Hybrid builds a very accurate map of the space to be cleaned, and thanks to this map it can achieve with minimum effort, maximum convenience and increased efficiency up to a prolonged 2.5-hour cleaning cycle. Once the automatic mode cleaning starts, the robot moves away from the Charging Base, automatically scans the surrounding space to generate maps, intelligently determines its cleaning route, and divides the space into zones. In addition, the map on RoboVac L70 Hybrid allows the creation of No-Go Zones using the EufyHome App which defines the areas that the robot is not supposed to clean.
- With Smart Dynamics navigation technology used by the three RoboVac G30 robots, a map is also created, but it is used only to build a cleaning history that records where and how long the robot has cleaned each time (a cleaning history is of course also available for RoboVac L70 Hybrid). They move in Z-pattern using the robot's sensors and the refined Gyro technology. The path tracking sensor on these robots ensures that the robot adapts to changes of surface while remaining on the most efficient route to clean each room. From carpet to hard floor the right path is always taken. They do not allow the creation of No-Go Zones, but with G30 Edge and G30 Hybrid, you can use Boundary Strips to prevent the robot from cleaning certain areas.
Note 2:
All four Eufy RoboVac robots considered here use a 3-stage vacuuming system consisting of two brushes and strong suction power that effectively loosen, extract, and vacuum dirt to give a superior clean:
- A rolling main brush that picks up dust, debris, dirt, pet hair from the floor.
- A 3-prong spinning side brushes that clean along wall edges.
- Finally, an efficient vacuum that pulls dirt and hair off the brushes and directs it into the bin.
Note that these robots also use a triple filter system that handles very well hair, pet fur, lint, carpet fuzz and other various allergens.
The following pictures show the main vacuuming elements on the bottom view of the four robots considered:
Note 3:
Both RoboVac L70 Hybrid and RoboVac Hybrid support mopping.
To get both these RoboVac units ready for mopping you will need to take out the mopping module and fill the water tank with the water.
You will then need to wet the mopping cloth and wring it until it does not drip and insert the cloth into the mopping module along the bracket slot and stick it firmly. Finally, you will need to install the mopping module into the bottom of RoboVac until a click is heard.
Once the mopping module is inserted and ready, when you select a cleaning mode, the RoboVac will automatically start to sweep and mop in the selected mode. With RoboVac L70, if you want RoboVac to mop without vacuuming, you can select “Mop-Only” mode in the EufyHome App. You can also select the mopping water level (3 levels) in the App according to your needs
Important Note: Do not use the mopping mode on a carpeted floor. When using RoboVac L70 Hybrid, it is recommended to set a “No-Mop” zone in the EufyHome App to avoid cleaning the carpeted area. When using RoboVac G30 Hybrid, you will need to use the Boundary Strips to prevent the robot from entering areas not to be mopped.
Note 4:
Boundary Setting allows you to keep the robot away from any area or item you do not want it to get close to.
Note 5:
In Auto mode, RoboVac navigates and cleans using either the iPath Laser technology (for RoboVac L70) or the Smart Dynamics technology (for RoboVac G30, G30 Edge and G30 Hybrid), selecting appropriate cleaning modes automatically until cleaning is complete. This is the most commonly used cleaning mode. You can start this mode by pressing the appropriate button on the robot itself or using the EufyHome App from your smartphone or tablet.
Note 6:
When Spot Cleaning mode is invoked, the robot intensively cleans a specific area in a spiral pattern. This mode is useful if there is a concentrated area of dust or debris. In this mode, RoboVac will stop cleaning after 2 minutes. You can start this mode by pressing the appropriate button on the EufyHome App.
Note 7:
All four robots considered here support Wi-Fi. which means that you can control your robot remotely from wherever you may be using your smartphone or tablet. To ensure that your RoboVac's Wi-Fi connectivity is working properly make sure that:
Note 8:
All four RoboVac floor cleaning robots considered here can be controlled remotely using the EufyHome App that can be downloaded to your smartphone or tablet free of charge from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
To fully enjoy all the available features, it is recommended to control your RoboVac via the EufyHome App.
Note 9:
Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility means that you can control your RoboVac hands free with voice commands!
Note 10:
Note that using the App you can select the suction power level according to your needs.
Note 11:
When batteries run low, all four robots considered here return to their Charging Base to dock and recharge.
Note 12:
When these four robots go automatically to the Charging Base to recharge, once their battery is recharged they resume the cleaning in the aera where they had stopped and will continue cleaning until the job is complete.
Note 13:
RoboVac G70 Hybrid comes with a triple-layer filter system that includes the following filters:
Note 14:
With all four robots considered here, scheduling can be programmed for a specific time for every day of the week. The robot starts vacuuming as soon as the scheduled time is reached.
Note 15:
The dust bins that come with these four robots can be easily removed for cleaning.
Note 16:
Lithium-Ion batteries are designed to provide longer cleaning sessions and last longer before needing to be replaced.
Note also that for all robots run times can vary depending on the amount of work the robot has to do to clean the floors. That is because different types of carpets, different floor plans and different amounts of dirt may require different amounts of effort from the robot and hence different amounts of ''juice'' from the battery. .
Note 17:
Because all four robots support Wi-Fi, you can use your smartphone or tablet to control your RoboVac remotely.
The App allows various operations such as the cleaning mode selection, pausing the robot and activating, selecting suction power levels, sending the robot to charging base, setting the time, scheduling, etc.
Note 18:
All four robots are equipped with obstacle sensing sensors and drop sensing technology.

- With RoboVac L70 you can create virtual No-Go Zones using the App. Once these zones are created the robot will not clean them.
- With RoboVac G30 Edge and G30 Hybrid, you will need to use Boundary Strips which come with the robot. Once the Boundary Strips are placed on the floor to define the areas that are not supposed to be cleaned, the robot will not cross into the blocked-off areas.
- RoboVac G30 does not support Boundary Setting, so make sure you use it only where it is supposed to clean and remove any clutter you may have on the floor to be cleaned.

So which of these four robots would be best for your home?
Here we have four of the most popular and affordable vacuuming and mopping robots available today. The four Eufy robots support must-have functions such as good floor coverage, anti-collision and stairs detection sensors, scheduling, automatic docking and recharging, multiple operation modes, high-performance filters and Wi-Fi connectivity. Two of them also support mopping. Most Amazon customers who provided reviews on these robots were extremely happy with them as shown by the 4.5 stars (out of 5 stars) average rating these robots had received at time this article was written. Chances are you will be quite happy with either of them. However, as the above comparison table shows, there are a couple of important differences you should keep in mind before deciding which to get:
- RoboVac L70 Hybrid and RoboVac G30 Hybrid are the only two that allow also floor mopping.
However, RoboVac L70 Hybrid is the only one that has the Mop-Only cleaning mode that can be selected using the EufyHome App.
With RoboVac G30 Hybrid, when the mopping module is inserted, the robot both vacuums and mops, and you need to make sure that mopping is only used where there are no carpets. - Virtual No-Go Zones can only be created by RoboVac L70 Hybrid.
With RoboVac G30 Edge and G30 Hybrid Boundary Strips must be used to define no-go zones.
RoboVac G30 does not support Boundary Strips. - RoboVac L70 Hybrid has the most powerful battery which means it can run much longer than the three RoboVac G30 robots at full battery.
However, that is not a real problem for the three RoboVac G30 robots as they automatically recharge their batteries and automatically continue the cleaning where the job was interrupted. - RoboVac L70 Hybrid generates the largest suction power at 2200Pa compared to the 2000Pa maximum power generated by all three RoboVac G30 robots.
